Custom Flights.
Precision orthos, Quick orthos, oblique imagery and web viewer.
Participants have the option to purchase a custom flight collection to meet their specific needs and acquisition requirements. Multiple imagery resolution options are available with the most common resolutions being 3inch, 6inch, 12inch. A custom quote can be provided for other resolutions to meet customer needs. Explore multiple options below.
Precision Orthoimagery
Sanborn offers our precision orthoimagery as an option for customers who require higher levels of accuracy and quality. Most of our customers
choose this option if they are also using the data for feature extraction to support GIS analysis such as change detection. This option produces imagery that meets ASPRS Class I map accuracy standards, color balanced, and corrected seamlines and bridges.
Quick Orthoimagery
Sanborn’s quick orthoimagery product meets the needs of customers who need a reference layer but are not highly concerned about achieving
map accuracy standards. Our quick orthoimagery will meet a 4-pixel horizontal and vertical accuracy. However, it retains artifacts at seam lines, bridges, and color variations.
Licensed Oblique Imagery
Sanborn’s oblique imagery product allows all ground features to be seen from four sides and from above with accuracy that supports location, height, and area calculation. The data include a color balanced 3-band (RGB) oblique view and a 4-band (RGBIR) nadir view. The accuracy of the oblique imagery is horizontal RMSE is 2-pixel and vertical is 3-pixel.
Licensed Sanborn Oblique Analyst®
With Sanborn Oblique Analyst®, you can see the sides of ground features, discern additional ground details, see architectural details, take measures of height, length, and area, and generally improve the interpretation of ground features and changes using the oblique imagery. Sanborn Oblique Analyst® can be hosted by Sanborn or installed on-premises. Sanborn Oblique Analyst® can display your GIS data reference layers via REST connections.
Impervious Surfaces.
Measure and mitigate flood risk, enforce regulation, protect water quality.
Sanborn has the ability to extract a wide variety of features from orthoimagery. Impervious surfaces are solid surfaces that don’t allow water to penetrate, forcing the water to run off. Examples are asphalt, concrete, roofs, or other surfaces that restrict water infiltration. The scope of work assumes all impervious features would be extracted under a single impervious feature layer and assumes all features would be a new extraction (not updated). However, Sanborn would be happy to provide a custom quote based upon a participant’s specific needs and use case.

Tree Canopy Mapping.
Maps of tree canopy, type (deciduous/coniferous) crown radius, and height.
Trees can have a positive effect on land surface temperature, reducing the urban heat island effect and watersheds. Using high-resolution 4-band imagery and lidar, the Sanborn team will map tree canopy locations, attribute with type (deciduous/coniferous), crown radius, and height. Trees with a height of greater than 3.01m above ground will be extracted.

Asset Collection.
Access to specialty extracted features like road, utility, and oil rig assets.
Sanborn has the ability to extract a wide variety of features from orthoimagery. Due to the potential complexity, a standard pricing table cannot be developed since there are several different types of asset collections such as road assets, utility assets and oil rig assets and the feature list can be extensive.

Change Detection.
Advanced analysis to map change between imagery or Digital Surface Model datasets.
To eliminate the time and expense of visually searching large datasets for changed features, Sanborn has developed advanced analysis and processing techniques for application to imagery and DSM datasets. This image documents our comprehensive approaches to change map creation, polygon integration (e.g. Parcel) and visualization/workflow.

Change Detection Analysis
Analyze change between two different vintages of orthoimagery for a wide variety of features to support assessment, planning, construction, mining, public works, and public safety. The most requested change detection features are for buildings and parcels, but any type of geographic feature can be compared.
Licensed Sanborn Change Analyst™
Sanborn’s Change Analyst™ is a web-based, easy-access viewer, integrated with Sanborn Oblique Analyst®, that includes the ability to view multiple windows of source data side by side and evaluate the percentage change between target features. Change analysis at scale and for specific properties empowers staff to plan their field work and quickly identify areas of focus.
Color Infrared.
Access to CIR Layers for historical Hexagon orthoimagery.
CIR Layer for historical 2020, 2022, 2023 or 2024 Hexagon orthoimagery.
