Elevation

Digital Elevation Model
A bare Earth model referenced to a vertical datum. The absence of vegetation and infrastructure makes this useful for hydrography, soil analysis, and land use planning.​

Terrain

Digital Terrain model
Adds breaklines to the original DEM to improve 3D delineation of landforms, such as water bodies and bridges. Useful for analysis of 3D representations of built and natural features.

Surface

Digital Surface Model
