What is the Alabama Statewide Imagery Enhancement Program?
A coordinated statewide investment led by Alabama Department of Revenue and Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) delivering accurate imagery and elevation data. This data will empower communities, supports infrastructure, and drive Alabama forward.
The new Alabama Statewide Imagery Enhancement Program is designed to deliver exactly that by providing all municipal, county, and state agencies with standard 6-inch aerial imagery. Under this program, every state, regional, county, and municipal organization receives foundational access to high-quality, 6-inch resolution orthoimagery (straight down, tops of buildings). The program introduces flexible, separate “buy-up” options for entities requiring enhanced imagery products (see below).

Imagery Buy-up OptionsAll imagery data will be collected during Alabama’s “leaf-off” time period, between December 2026 – March 2027*. The imagery and associated buy-up products will be released towards the end of Q3 2027.
